Here are the chemicals to use and their effects on your pool
| Chemical | Effect on your pool |

| Soda Ash | Raises the pools pH level |
| Hydrochloric Acid | Lowers the pools pH level |
| Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) | Raises the pools Alkalinity level |
| Sodium Bisulphate | Lowers the pools Alkalinity level & lowers pH a tiny bit |
| Cyanuric Acid (Stabiliser) | Raises the pools Cyanuric Acid level |
| Dilute water in pool (Replace some pool water with fresh pool water) | Lowers the pools Cyanuric Acid level |
